Discarded Chiefs striker to remain in SA?

A source has claimed that the Venezuelan feels he wasn't given enough of a chance at Chiefs to prove himself.

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Gustavo Paez is said to be open to a move to a local club after he was released at Amakhosi last week, where he was considered surplus to requirements.

A source has claimed that the Venezuelan feels he wasn’t given enough of a chance at Chiefs to prove himself.

“He has gotten used to the conditions here and was beginning to enjoy it when this happened. He didn’t fight his exit because he felt he wasn’t getting enough game time anyway. He is hoping to find another club here and continue his football and prove himself,” said the source.

There have already been rumours linking Paez with a move to former coach Steve Komphela’s Golden Arrows next season.
