Former Chiefs star facing uncertain future at Dikwena

Abia Nale is facing an uncertain future at Platinum Stars, with indications that he could be released in January.

The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, who joined Dikwena from Maritzburg United in January, has been reduced to a spectator at the club.

He has made only four appearances for Stars this season, with his last game for Dikwena being the 0-0 draw against Chippa United on September 16.

The 31-year-old has not made the match-day squad since that game.

Now a source close to Dikwena told Phakaaathi that Nale is not in new coach Roger De Sa’s plans for the future.

“If you notice, he has not been playing since Roger took over, and I hear that Roger has recommended that they should release him in January,” said the source.

Stars are also set to release defender Sibusiso Mthethwa in January.

The 26-year-old has not made a single appearance for Dikwena this season since joining the team from University of Pretoria in July.
