Golden Arrows keen to sign Pirates striker

Abafana Bes’thende have become the latest club to show interest in out-of-favour Orlando Pirates striker Thabiso Kutumela.

As reported by Phakaaathi earlier, Chippa United were the first team to show interest in the 23-year-old striker after news emerged that Pirates were set to put him on loan.

“Arrows coach Clinton Larsen has expressed interest in Kutumela from Pirates and, as you’re aware, the two teams have a good working relationship. But don’t rule out a move to Chippa for him because Pirates and Chippa have also been working well together,” said the source.

“But from what I could gather, Arrows are the favourites to land him,” added the source.

Kutumela is a former National First Division (NFD) top scorer with 18 goals to his name who helped Baroka win the 2015/16 NFD.

He joined Pirates at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, but struggled for game time, making only six appearances in all competitions for Bucs last season.
