Manyisa: from captain to a forgotten man in the stands

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Oupa Manyisa has been left in the stands for most part of this season, having played just four games for the Brazilians this season.

It is believed the former Orlando Pirates captain is looking for a move away from the club at the end of the season.

When the 30-year-old was bought by Masandawana, he was apparently promised a bigger role at the club because of his experience in the Caf Champions League and Confederation Cup with the Buccaneers.

“It is frustrating because he had other options before he joined Sundowns but now he is sitting in the stands, not even on the bench. Imagine being captain and then reduced to a mere spectator,” said a source.
