Pirates ready for player clear-out
Orlando Pirates are preparing to release a few players, among them are former Bafana Bafana players Diamond Thopola and goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane, Phakaaathi has ascertained.

It doesn’t look like those guys will be at Pirates next season because they have not made any meaningful contribution this term and the technical team have asked to cut down the squad to a manageable number for next season.

There will also be young players coming back but there will also be some who will be released.
“I have heard they want Thembela Sikhakhane back from AmaZulu which means the likes of Thopola might have to be let go to make space,” said a source.
