Pirates still backing Riveiro despite recent poor run

Following unfavourable results at Orlando Pirates, there has been a lot of talk regarding the future of head coach Jose Riveiro at the club.
However, an insider in the Buccaneers camp has revealed that the team is not even thinking about releasing the Spaniard.
A section of Pirates fans have showed their frustration regarding the club and Riveiro, with some calling for him to step down.
But, there are also others who are in full support of the Spaniard and still believe he is the right man to lead Bucs to great success.
Champions League embarrassment
This is after the Buccaneers were knocked out in the Caf Champions League Preliminary stages by Jwaneng Galaxy.
“There will always be people who will talk negative about the coach, forgetting what he has done with the club. They have forgotten that he won two trophies last season, which was his first season. It’s just that some fans tend to turn a blind eye on the good things,” said a source.
“The good thing is everyone at the club is fully behind him.”
