Qarabag table an offer for Billiat – report

Qarabag recently sold Bafana Bafana striker Dino Ndlovu to Chinese club Hangzhou Greentown, and are said to have earmarked Billiat as his replacement.

“Qarabag FK have submitted their offer to Sundowns,” a source told Goal.

“They are only waiting for Sundowns to come back to them, but we’re told that they [Sundowns] are considering it.”

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are also believed to be interested in the 27-year-old midfielder, however, Billiat is said to prefer an overseas move.

There were reports that he had signed a contract with one of the Soweto giants, but the source disputes this.

“No, no, he hasn’t signed a precontract with anyone, and he is definitely not joining a local team. He doesn’t want to play locally. He wants to move abroad; whether in Europe or Asia. So, it is not true that he has signed a precontract locally,” explained the source.

Billiat has featured nine times for Sundowns so far this season, with three goals and four assists to his name.
