Sundowns set to lose another assistant coach?

Rumours surrounding the exit of Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach Manqoba Mngqithi from Chloorkop have intensified.

Suggestions are that the former Golden Arrows mentor would only stay with the African champions until after their current Caf Champions League campaign.

Mnqithi’s name has previously been bandied about as a possible replacement for Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela. Mngqithi, like most Sundowns players, is allegedly fed-up with Pitso Mosimane’s strict rules.

Mosimane lost one of his assistants, Rhulani Mokwena, to Orlando Pirates at the beginning of the 2017/18 and losing Mngqithi will come as a blow.
