Zola Majavu set for PSL return?

Majavu has previously worked for the League.

Phakaaathi has learnt that the Premier Soccer League (PSL) is set to unveil Zola Majavu as the new prosecutor after the resignation of Nande Becker whose last day was November 30.

Becker’s resignation was not announced by the PSL but emerged last weekend when the media tried to speak to him about Kaizer Chiefs’ failure to show up for their game against Cape Town City.

It was then that Becker confirmed that he had left the PSL. But Phakaaathi has learnt that the PSL had already started the process of finding his replacement and that everything has been agreed with Majavu.

Majavu had previously held the same position and even as PSL’s general manager at some point. A source said the PSL were unhappy with Becker’s work and his resignation was anticipated and welcomed.

“There was already some unhappiness and for obvious reasons about his work and when he resigned they just accepted it and started looking for options. I believe everything has been finalised with Majavu and he should begin his duties at any time,” said the source.
