Mngqithi backs misfiring Brockie
Pitso Mosimane's right-hand man Manqoba Mngqithi is confident striker Jeremy Brockie will soon rediscover his goal-scoring form.

Brockie has not scored since joining Mamelodi Sundowns from SuperSport United, whom they face tomorrow evening at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Brockie’s goal drought extends to his days in Matsatsantsa colours, where he last scored in September.
“He is a very good player, we know the quality he can give to us,” said Mngqithi.
“I don’t think it is a struggle, it is just our expectations. Under normal circumstances, you’d expect that a striker of Brockie’s quality, that even if he does not score in four matches, he is still definitely going to score goals.
“The unfortunate part is that it is beginning to get into his nerves and we are trying very hard to make him to calm down and understand that we believe in him and we know what he is capable of,” he added.

The New Zealander said he would love to open his scoring account against his former employers.
“It would be very nice to score against them,” Brockie quipped.
“I am looking forward to going back and playing against the boys, hopefully a big crowd turns out and it would be nice to hit the back of the net for the first time for Sundowns against the old team,” the Kiwi added.
If Brockie does score tomorrow, he insists he will defy the unwritten rule of not celebrating against a former team as a gesture of respect.
“I like to celebrate every goal I score. Yes I have had good memories with SuperSport and now I am on a new journey and I’ll celebrate goals like I do all the time,” said the 30-year-old.
