Mosimane confident Billiat will stay at Sundowns

Pitso Mosimane seems to have changed his tune on Khama Billiat after previously revealing that the Zimbabwean international was on his way out of the club.

Billiat is yet to sign a contract extension with Mamelodi Sundowns as he is reportedly holding out for a move abroad, while local giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are said to be interested in securing the services of the 27-year-old.

“Khama is on the edge, he is a different one,” said Mosimane.

“But I think Khama will renew in my opinion. He knows that we need him and he knows that we love him. He knows that he won’t get that big contract somewhere else. He must stay here, but if he gets the biggest contract, you must understand that football is short career, so if he has to get all the money that people promise him, then why not?” he added.

Mosimane is also confident that a number of key players will remain at the club, while revealing that he has already managed to tie down some players.

“Tiyani Mabunda will sign, Themba Zwane will sign, Tebogo Langerman will sign. Siyanda Zwane has signed, Kennedy Mweene has signed, and when I say they will sign I mean they will sign.”
