Pitso wants George Lebese to dribble

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed that he expects a lot of flair from new recruit George Lebese once he gets his groove.

Lebese was handed his full debut in Masandawana’s 2-0 triumph over crosstown rivals SuperSport United in the first Tshwane derby of the season on Saturday.

Mosimane withdrew the ex-Kaizer Chiefs winger in the second half after he appeared to be lacking confidence and has clearly not yet synchronized his style of play with that of the African champions.

“He started well. I need to give him a chance and to get his confidence,” said Mosimane.

“I told him that maybe if I introduced him as a substitute when we were 2-0 up maybe there was going to be more happiness. But it is okay. He scores goals, but you could see that he was cautious because it was not an easy start for him,” he added.

The ex-Bafana Bafana mentor continued: “He was playing simple, but in time he will start dribbling. We want him to dribble inside the box, he just kept it simple, which is good and I like it when you get your confidence slowly.”

Oupa Manyisa was also handed his full debut and finished the game after he starred alongside skipper Hlompho Kekana, much to the delight of ‘Jingles’.

“Oupa plays simple as expected, he looks after the midfield. But it is difficult because everybody wants to play but I told them that they must be patient because we have a lot of games and they’ll play.
