Sundowns are human, they might crack – Mphahlele

Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele believes it is still possible for Absa Premiership log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns to mess up and for the chasing pack to catch up with them despite their four point lead.

He also admitted that Amakhosi made things difficult for themselves when they dropped points in their last two matches and that it is now not entirely in their hands to win the league.

“It’s very difficult for Sundowns because you know there are people behind you who are capable of catching you. They know Orlando Pirates is right there behind them, Maritzburg United are there, we are there and Free State Stars as well,” said Mphahlele.

“And honestly speaking, they are human beings and they will feel the pressure. They will feel they can’t afford to drop any more points because these guys are coming at them. As much as it is difficult to chase, leading is also challenging. Do I think they will crack? I hope they do. But if they don’t good for them,” he added.
