Unbeaten Arrows take aim at SuperSport

Clinton Larsen's Golden Arrows, who are unbeaten in the league after nine games, are targeting maximum points against SuperSport United this evening.

The KwaZulu-Natal side are just a point behind leaders Baroka FC and are in Mbombela to face Eric Tinkler’s United side, which will only be playing their fifth league game this season as their endeavors in the Caf Confederation Cup delayed their domestic program.

“Two days of rest and we are playing again, it is not going to be easy,” said Larsen after his side was knocked out of the Telkom Knockout by Orlando Pirates.

“These boys have got big hearts and they give everything to the club and once again we will go to SuperSport and try to give it our maximum effort.

“We will try to maintain our unbeaten record in the league and make it 10 unbeaten but it won’t be easy,” he added.

Matsatsantsa A Pitori were also knocked out of the league cup by Bloemfontein Celtic. However, Larsen reckons that United could still be hungover from their MTN8 triumph from earlier this month and will look to capitalize on that.

“They just won a cup and the confidence is still high in their camp. But who knows, maybe they are still on honeymoon and we can take advantage of that fact,” said the former Siwelele mentor.
