Veldwijk excited by Bafana return
Sparta Rotterdam striker Lars Veldwijk is happy to be back in the South African national team.

Veldwijk was named in coach Stuart Baxter’s 24-man squad set to face Libya in their last qualifier in Tunisia later this month.
The 27-year-old South African-born striker earned his first cap for the national team two years ago while Shakes Mashaba was still in charge of Bafana Bafana.
“Couldn’t be happier, and it’s a great honour to be able to return to the national team Bafana Bafana! Looking forward to it! Ngiyabonga,” read a tweet from Veldwijk.
Baxter seems to think that the lanky striker can make an impact in their game against Libya.
“I know that I have previously said that I have not worked with Lars [Veldwijk] and I want players I have worked with. But in this case, in this game [against Libya], I think he might have an important role to play off the bench. I don’t want to give the line up now, but that’s it,” said Baxter.
