We want to finish on a high note – De Sa

Platinum Stars coach Roger De Sa has commended his players for professionalism despite their circumstances.

“Surprisingly the players have been motivated. They have worked hard and they haven’t stopped. The level of professionalism from everybody has been 100%,” said De Sa, whose side go into the last match of the season placed bottom of the Absa Premiership table, with 21 points.
“If anything, I have learnt a lot about their character. I couldn’t have asked for more commitment, despite the log position. Yes, we have made mistakes and individual errors along the way that have cost us a lot of games, but they were genuine mistakes. Apart from that, the players have been a pleasure to work with.”
De Sa says his men, who host Bidvest Wits at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace this coming Saturday, will go into the match seeking nothing less than victory.
“We will continue to play to win and try give our best and try to improve with every game. We will continue to do that until the last whistle. We want to win every game, be it a friendly or a training match. It’s always great to finish on a winning note because it makes your off-season a lot better,” said De Sa.
“We are expecting a difficult match against Wits. They want to get into the top eight so they will be motivated, but we also want to finish on a high. We always play to win and Saturday will be no different.”
Kickoff is at 3pm.
