Fantasy Football April Final Stretch
There were some impressive points hauls in Gameweek 35 of the Phakaaathi Private Fantasy League, as many players dropped a bonus chip on the final double gameweek of the season.
With one gameweek to go in the Phakaaathi Private Fantasy League’s April competition, the leader in the race for a Defy Stove valued at R7 999 is Ismail Jassat and issy_j united. Jassat picked up an impressive 130 points in Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 35, benefiting from using his bench boost chip. Thirty-nine of issy_j_united’s points came off the bench, a potentially vital tally given that they currently have a 30-point lead at the top of the April standings. Watford also contributed 39 of Jassat’s points, with Gerard Deolofeu getting 17 points from the bench for the two games against Huddersfi eld and Southampton, while Jassat also wisely decided to captain Watford’s Andre Gray, who picked up 22 points as skipper – many of those coming through his last-gasp equaliser at Southampton on Tuesday. Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte picked up 15 points for his contribution to clean sheets against Tottenham and Manchester United that put Pep Guardiola’s side back on top of the English Premier League, while Raheem Sterling finished with eight points after his assist against Man Utd. In second place in the overall standings for April is Foorkan Patel and *Foorkies_4_Lesco*, who got 128 points for Gameweek 35 after also playing their bonus chip. Patel had a very similar team to Jassat, with the notable addition of Liverpool’s Trent Alexander- Arnold, who got 11 points for his assist and clean sheet against Cardiff . Gameweek 36 should provide some fascinating matches, and Liverpool players could do well again with the Reds hosting relegated Huddersfield this evening at Anfi eld. It seems likely that Liverpool will win this one comfortably, and given the importance of the match, that Jurgen Klopp will field all of his stars, like Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. The game of the weekend is Man Utd v Chelsea on Sunday, but given the form of those two sides, maybe only Eden Hazard is worth having in your FPL team.
