The fault was originally a minor one, but we were told there was no cash for repairs.
Our energetic, hardworking, forward-planning town council has told us it will be open in 2016.
They must be awarded a prize for being the most efficient council in the country.
It is just a great pity that they do not realise that there are many children who, because of council’s stupidity, have no place to go to for a cooling swim, especially with the hot weather we are now having.
They should hang their heads in shame, if they are capable of feeling any.

Selection Park Swimming Pool was identified as one of the three swimming pools with which we will start in the 2014/15 financial year.
Due to limited funding in 2014/15, all three projects will only be completed in the 2015/16 year.
