Water pressure again reduced in Emfuleni

Residents of this municipality who wonder why their water pressure is suddenly so low again.... here is the reason

The communication department of the Emfuleni Local Municipality yesterday (23 June) sent out this press release:

“Communities of Emfuleni Local Municipality are advised that Rand Water has again reduced water pressure by 20% as from today (23rd June 2017). This is the result of the municipality being unable to fulfill its promise of paying R70 million. Arrangements have been made to pay R15 million today but unfortunately the 20% (reduced pressure) will remain in force until the municipality pays the agreed instalment with Rand Water.
The municipality is again appealing to communities to re-start paying for municipal services as this has a negative bearing on the provision of services. Those that are unemployed, receiving grants and the child-headed families are urged to register for indigent programs so as to enable the municipality to apply for their grant.
Pay for the municipal service because it is the tight thing to do!”
