Alleged car thief shot and killed in Duncanville

VEREENIGING. – A man was shot and killed after attempting to steal a car in Duncanville on Friday.
Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda says, “It is alleged that two suspects arrived at a shopping center in a white Golf 7.
One suspect continued to force open a Corolla Toyota that was in the parking and belonged to one shop owner’s son. The suspect was able to open the car and get inside it.”
According to Funda, the shop owner saw what was going on and went outside, drew his gun and fired at the suspect once shooting him in the head.
“The suspect was declared dead on the scene. The second suspect fled the scene. Investigations are ongoing.”
