Barrage SAPS’ Open Day

BARRAGE. – The Barrage SAPS held an open day at the police station in Barrage recently.

According to Police Spokesperson Sergeant Nombulelo Mohlakoana the purpose of the open day was to close the gap amongst different racial citizens that they police, and also introduce the Barrage SAPS to the community (know your  police). Mohlakoana said that there was also different police units who made presentations to the community about different services SAPS provide.

Lieutenant Colonel Majingo is the Head of Stock Theft Unit

“Amongst the units’ heads that were there, there was Lieutenant Colonel Majingo who is the Head of Stock Theft Unit who elaborated on how the community can guard their stock against theft in the farming industry. Shexplained about charges that owners will be faced with should police find that one didn’t mark his/her animals. She also advised the farmers on how to register their trade mark on their stock.”

The Barrage Station Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Sigo.

The Flying Squad advised the community what to do when they find themselves on a highway and are hijacked.

“The Barrage Station Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Sigo elaborated on issues that caused house breaking and undocumented citizens that most of the plots owners are employing and they end up being victims of crimes.  She further explained how alcohol impacts on crime at large in the area.”
