VEREENIGING.- The parents of two sons in their 20s have been seriously injured and their pregnant daughter-in-law has suffered minor injuries when their minibus collided with a red VW Polo at the intersection of the R42 and Ascot on Vaal Road in Bedworth Park, Vereeniging on Saturday night.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 23:24 along with all the relevant authorities. The mom and dad, who are in their 40s, were found to have suffered serious injuries and were treated with Advanced Life Support interventions.
The daughter-in-law, who is in her early 20s and pregnant, needed help getting out of the bus, but had luckily only suffered minor injuries.
The two sons declined treatment and transport. The three injured patients were then transported through to Vereeniging Mediclinic for further care.
The driver of the VW Polo is believed to have left the scene but the South African Police Services were on hand for investigation.
