Calling on all Three Rivers residents

VEREENIGING. - For many residents across the Vaal the decaying state of once beautiful areas are just to much to bear. One such a resident is Mike Maxwell who's fond memories of Vosloo Park has now sparked the urge to clean and tidy it up.

Mike has lived and grown up in the Vaal Triangle for 47 years. He remembers the good old days going to Vosloo Park on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon with family; meeting friends for a braai under the shade of the trees or playing a round of putt-putt or fishing from the banks of the Vaal or Klip River;  or just relaxing and visiting the Snoepie (once run by the  late Oom Piet Grobbelaar and his wife).

The great idea to clean up Vosloo Park is unfortunately not a one man job. Mike is calling on all residents, young and old, who are prepared to help with this project.

The plan is to start cleaning from the main entrance of the park moving towards the River front and skate board park, which needs some overhanging  branches cut back.

Please support Mike. Anyone or organisation who can help make this happen can contact Mike on 078 5111 799 between 09:00 and 12:00, Monday to Friday.
