BOIPATONG. – An inquest has been opened following the discovery of the body of a man in an open field near Vanderbijlpark recently. It is said that 42-year old Lucas Moretsele was last seen on the Friday, 13 August, in the afternoon leaving Boipatong at Winniespark on foot to his home in Vanderbijlpark.

Police Spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela said: “Unfortunately his body was discovered at open veld in Vanderbijlpark near his home at the corner of Delfos and Frikkie Meyer Boulevard.”

Vanderbijlpark Police have opened an inquest docket.

Maxambela asks anyone with information to assist with the investigation of the death of Moreletse and to contact Detective Warrent Officer Alberts 082 778 5947 at Vanderbijlpark police station.
