
A murder investigation is underway after paramedics discovered an elderly woman’s dead body in a room at a residence in Parkhill Durban North.
Netcare paramedics were called by a private security company after an old lady was discovered unresponsive in her house.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson, Shaun Herbst, the incident occurred on Thursday night at around 7 pm.
“Netcare 911 was alerted by Marshall Security that a woman was found unresponsive at her residence in Parkhill Durban North,” Arrive Alive reported.
“When medics arrived on the scene they found the elderly lady aged approximately 70-years-old bound by her hands and feet on the floor.
“The patient was assessed, however, showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased by a Netcare 911 advanced life support practitioner,” the report said.
