The police in Boipatong have launched a rape case docket after a 24-year-old woman was raped on Tuesday at a dumping site in Boipatong

BOIPATONG. – The woman was on her way home from work when the incident happened.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambea says police are on the hunt for an unknown African male following the incident.

“The victim was walking on Nobel Boulevard and about to cross K53 when she was approached by an unknown man who pointed a gun at her.

“The suspect directed the victim to a dumping site where he seized her cell phone and cash amounting to R400 and subsequently tied her up and raped her.”

The victim was able to untie herself and seek for help after the man left her there.
