Missing girl’s body retrieved from the Vaal River

The body of Sandakahle Shezi (12) was retrieved from the Vaal River on Thursday.

SEDIBENG. –  It is reported that Shezi was swept away by a stream after she went swimming behind the Henley on Klip Library on Saturday, 06 November. Search operations began on Saturday after the little girl was reported missing Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale confirmed the incident.

“I can confirm that  the body of a 12-year-old that was reported missing last week Saturday was retrieved  from the Vaal River .”

Makhale said that the operation was carried out by the SAPS Water Wing, K9 Unit and Sedibeng District Tactical Response Team (TRT).
