SASOLBURG.- A man in his 30s was seriously injured when an SUV rear-ended a light motor vehicle on the R57 near Sasolburg.
On Sunday morning ER24 paramedics arrived at 03h00 to find the Provincial Fire Services already in attendance extricating one man from the light motor vehicle.

The driver of the SUV was seen walking around on the scene.
Medics assessed the man from the light motor vehicle and found that he had sustained injuries to his chest and pelvis.
“The man was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to a provincial hospital for further care.
The driver of the SUV, fortunately, escaped injury.”
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
In a separate accindent one man sustained moderate injuries on Sunday evening following a single vehicle rollover on the R57 near the Rafters Bridge offramp in Vanderbijlpark.
