Mute girl (11) allegedly raped

A mother says she regrets leaving her children alone for days in a shack in Sonderwater. This comes after she returned to find her 11-year-old mute daughter raped by a man she calls her ex-boyfriend.

SEBOKENG. – The mother’s name is known to Sedibeng Ster “I had been away for days. When I came back I found out that my daughter had been abused in a way I could never have imagined. “I found my daughter bleeding and that is when I started getting suspicious.

“I wondered how an 11-year-old girl could experience her period.” The mother said that she regretted leaving her young children alone without the supervision of an adult. The mother, who could not hold her tears back, said that she could see that her young girl was no longer the same following the incident, adding that she was full of fear.

It is said that community members were alerted about the incident and out of anger burned the shack belonging to the suspect.

Police Spokesperson Constable Doris Nkosi confirmed that a suspect had been arrested after he raped a child.

“On 28 November at about 09:00 in Sonderwater Sebokeng, a complainant stated that she arrived at home and found her mute daughter (11) taking a bath.

“Her other daughter (9) told her that her sister was bleeding, she went to check on her when she realised she also had money with her.

“The victim indicated to her mother that the suspect gave her the money after sleeping with her.”

The suspect was arrested and charged with rape.
