New Sebokeng CPF aims to fight crime

It was not a surprise when Biggie Nketle was elected as the new Chairperson of the Sebokeng Community Policing Foum (CPF) during the by- election Annual General meeting hosted at the ArceloMittal Science Center on 25 June.

SEBOKENG.- Nketle was the Deputy Chairperson of the interim structure and managed to bring hope and stability to the community.

The nominations for positions dragged for sometimes due protocol to be followed regarding by-election system. It was heard during the elections that Sebokeng has been without a proper structure of the CPF for a long period. It is said thatthe former structure was disbanded due to inside politics and an interim committee was formed.

The election was conducted under the watchful eyes of the Sebokeng Station Commander, Brigadier Essau Mokoene, Regional Chairperson of CPF Samuel Mokako and Sedibeng Community Safety Chairperson, Peter Kele. James Khumalo was conducting the induction assisted by Lucky Siphelo from Emfuleni Local Municipality Department of Safety.

Teboho Thene was elected  as Secretary and Pakisi Koaho as Treasurer.
