Four-vehicle collision leaves twenty-five injured
Approximately twenty-five people were injured when two taxis, a truck and a bakkie collided on the R550 in Walkerville on Wednesday morning (3 August 2022).
WALKERVILLE. – According to Russel Meiring, communications officer for ER24, paramedics from ER24 and several other services arrived on the scene at 10:18 to find the bakkie and truck in one lane.
The two taxis were found on opposite sides of the road.
“Medics assessed the numerous patients walking around on the scene and found that approximately twenty-five patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
“The patients were treated and transported by various services to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” says Meiring.
