Abrahamsrust is open and boasts a new name

SASOLBURG. - The popular Abrahamsrust Resort on the banks of the Vaal River is open to the public again and is now called View on Vaal Resort @ Abrahamsrust.

Many residents have been asking and hoping that the resort will open its door to the public again. The official opening was at the end of November, just in time for the festive season.

Apart from the new name, the entire facility has been revitalised.

The swimming pool area has seen the inclusion of a huge shade net and additional braais and benches have been added throughout the entire resort.

The 24 park homes have also been renovated.

But there is still some work to be done early next year.

The campsite and the rebuilding of the lapas are next on the list. This however won’t affect visitors during the December holidays.

Aqua Lounge Cruises has secured a new agreement to operate the Abrahamsrust Resort. Thus visitors will now also have the option to relax while exploring the river on one of the Aqua Lounge fleet of luxury cruise vessels.

Aqua Lounge Cruises CEO Darryl Zaayman has been in the boating and leisure industry for over 15 years.

“I am excited that the resort will revitalise the Vaal tourism industry,” says Darryl.

Visitors will be happy to learn that there are strict regulations regarding noise levels, as well as the use of glass bottles at the facility.

This will ensure a well-maintained resort that can be enjoyed by the entire family.

The resort will open at 08:00 and close at 18:00.
Please note that there will be NO entry to resort after 17:00 as the resort closes at 18:00.
