Sale of wild animals is illegal
Wild animals belong in the wild and should not be kept as pets.
SEDIBENG.- The SPCA Vereeniging & Vanderbijlpark is urging the public to refrain from buying wild animals and rather call the SPCA.
In a press statement issued by the local SPCA, the animal welfare organisation said they regularly receive calls about juvenile owls being sold next to the road.
“By buying these animals you are supporting the illegal trade and encouraging the illegal trade to continue.”
