Sedibeng cluster police joined forces with local security companies.
VANDERBIJLPARK – The SAPS in Sedibeng District, under the leadership of Major General Nkhensani Mkhwevho, recently launched a Crime Prevention Partnership Joint Operation at Isak Steyl Stadium.
The parade, led by Lieutenant Colonel Lindiwe Ngema, brought together members from multiple SAPS units, including the Sedibeng TRT, Infrastructure Unit, Flying Squad, K9 Unit, as well as external partners such as the Gauteng Traffic Wardens and SBV Security.
During the launch, Operational Commander Captain Gideon Gouws highlighted the importance of the joint operation.
“This partnership is designed to strengthen policing and enhance security across the Sedibeng District,” he said.
According to Sedibeng District police spokesperson, Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela, the launch was a collaborative platform between SAPS and supporting law enforcement and private security units.
“This collaboration will help enhance crime prevention efforts throughout the Sedibeng District by focusing on areas of operation such as high-visibility patrols in identified crime hotspots, intelligence-driven operations targeting serious and violent crimes, and combating drug-related and firearm-related offences,” she said.
Maxambela also added that the most important aspect for the joint operation was to strengthen community partnerships to build a safer environment for all Sedibeng residents.
