Rotary Club of Vanderbijlpark’s Empower Her Project

The Rotary Club of Vanderbijlpark is on a mission to help those who cannot help themselves. The Empower Her Project is a good example.

The Rotary Club completed its Empower Her Project. The project was initiated earlier this year by the Rotary Club of Vanderbijlpark in partnership with Rotaract District 2080.

The project aimed to provide 400 girls with sanitary products to last them an entire year. The Rotary Club of Vanderbijlpark stated on their Facebook page: “We are pleased to share that the final distributions have now been completed, with sanitary products handed out to selected girls across six schools in the Vanderbijlpark area.”

The project was made possible through the sale of handmade dolls produced in Vanderbijlpark and sold in Italy as part of a fundraising initiative.

In addition, some of the remaining funds have been allocated to support selected girls with eye tests and prescription glasses through our Mission Vision Project.

To date, approximately 6 000 packets of sanitary towels have been distributed through the Empower Her Project.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success and helping us make a meaningful difference in the lives of young girls in our community,” they concluded.
