Step back into the 80s with 50 Shades of Spay
For over a decade, 50 Shades of Spay has served as a crucial lifeline across areas in Meyerton and Vereeniging.
MEYERTON – Local independent animal welfare initiative 50 Shades of Spay is turning back the clock for a night of retro fun, music, and community spirit with its upcoming “Sip, Sing and then Spay” fundraiser.
The 80s-themed event will take place on Saturday, August 29, at the Meyerton Sport & Recreation Club, with doors opening at 17:30.

The organisation focuses on curbing animal overpopulation through targeted sterilisation drives while supplying food and medical care to vulnerable community animals.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best 80s attire for an evening of live entertainment, music, and laughter.
Thanks to generous support from local businesses and community sponsors, the night will also feature lucky draw vouchers, exclusive goodie bags, and special prizes.
