Man shot while fleeing gun attack in Old Coronation
A man was shot in the leg when a group of about eight men allegedly opened fire on him and his friend in Old Coronation.
Police are investigating an attempted murder case following a shooting that left one man injured in Old Coronation.
According to police, the incident occurred at about 00:10 on July 1 while the complainant and his friend were sitting outside a house.
They were allegedly ambushed by a group of about eight unknown men, who opened fire on them.
The two men ran for safety, but while fleeing, the complainant felt pain in his leg. He later realised he had been shot and was bleeding.

The attackers fled the scene and have not yet been identified or arrested.
A spokesperson for the Witbank Police Station, Warrant Officer David Ratau, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist in identifying or locating the suspects to come forward. All information will be treated confidentially and could assist in bringing those responsible to justice.”
