RICHARDS Bay will come alive with the sound of music, markets, food and family fun when The Richards Bay Festival returns on 13 December.

Tickets will be available at the gate at R50 for adults and R20 for children under13, with free parking.

For the little ones, a roaming magician will amaze with magic tricks and balloon animals, while jumping castles (10am to 6pm) and pony rides (10am to 4pm) will keep the fun going. Children must be accompanied by adults on the pony rides.

There will also be face painting, toys, carnival games, and even a 5D cinema experience.

Gamers can head to the Zululand Gamers Guild zone for free-to-play board games, trading card games, and Dungeons & Dragons sessions.

A lively taekwondo demonstration is also on the programme for the afternoon.

Festivalgoers can enjoy a world tour of flavours, with food stalls offering dishes from Morocco to Thailand, India to China, plus local favourites like vetkoek, steaks and burgers.

Sweet treats will include waffles, cakes, cookies, fudge, pancakes, milkshakes, and bubble teas, with plenty of options for coffee lovers too.

Shoppers can browse a growing range of crafts, leather goods, clothing, jewellery, plants, books, perfumes and beauty products, catering for all tastes.

The atmosphere will stay vibrant throughout the day, thanks to United Events on the mic, and live performances by SGR (Steve Graham Rocks) and local favourite ANGUS, who will keep the party going into the evening. A cash bar will be available.
