Viral video: We will leave no box unturned – Roman’s Pizza
The popular South African pizza brand is under scrutiny after a video went viral, showing an employee allegedly reusing used pizza boxes.
The CEO of Roman’s Pizza, John Nicolakakis, said they had launched an investigation after a video went viral on social media of an employee cleaning used pizza boxes, allegedly for re-use, at its branch at the Mayfield Square Shopping Centre in Daveyton.
In the video that sparked outrage on social media, the woman, wearing the brand’s uniform, takes pizza boxes from a plastic bag and wipes the inside of them clean.
