Warden patrol Kwa-Thema

Wardens make their presence known in Kwa-Thema.

Kwa-Thema – The Kwa-Thema crime prevention wardens held a stop-and-search operation across the township on Tuesday.

This operation was part of their visibility drive after their official deployment launch at the Tsakani Stadium on June 4.

African Reporter met with the wardens during the operation at the Duduza taxi rank, known as a drug hotspot.


The CPW patrolled around Kwa-Thema.

The wardens confiscated dagga, suspected to be used when lacing nyaope.

They apprehended no suspects.

The wardens patrolled around Kwa-Thema, searching corners, shops and car washes.


At some places nothing was found.

While walking towards Deep Level, they apprehended a suspect at Entabeni, behind Masimini Primary School.

They found a purse containing a substance suspected of being drugs in his possession.

The wardens called for a police vehicle to collect the suspect.
