Women’s group raises funds for people with albinism

People with albinism and orphans received gifts from the group.

Kwa-Thema – The Far East Rand Archdeaconry Mothers Union had its inaugural fun walk on June 24 in Kwa-Thema.

The walk started and ended at the Ekurhuleni East TVET Kwa-Thema campus. It was a day of enjoyment, fun and games to raise funds.

Nontsikelelo Motau, the organisation’s president, said, “We thank everyone who supported our event, not forgetting our sponsors. Thank you for your donation.

“Your generosity means everything to us and to the community we serve. We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to donating, and we are grateful you chose to donate to our cause.”

Motau said they donated gifts bought for orphans and people with albinism.

She also quoted from the Bible (Galatians 6: 9-10), saying “Let’s not become weary in doing good things.”
