Ratanang holds health talk for elders

Elders were also treated to soup.

Kwa-Thema – Ratanang Elderly Organisation spent Tuesday with the elderly to commemorate Mandela Month at the Holiness Union Church in Masimini, Kwa-Thema.

They educated the elderly about chronic illnesses and how to manage them. Health workers from the Tsakani Clinic also gave the elders an eye test.

Ratanang founder Nomvula Sibanyoni said, “I am grateful the health workers heeded our call when we asked them to spend the day with us and educate us about health matters.”

She said they are planning another programme in October where the elders will receive a dental check.

They served the elders with bread and soup after the health talk and the eye check.
