Barnyard Show Door of Hope Village fundraiser
Door of Hope held a Barnyard fundraiser for the children in their village
Door of Hope children’s mission held a fundraiser at the Barnyard Theatre on August 11 in honour of Women’s Day. All funds raised go towards the 59 babies currently in their care.
The operations director, Nadene Grabham said: “You can only imagine the number of nappies we go through (about 12 000 per month) and the baby formula (about 90 big tins of Nan a month) including porridge and fresh milk. We would like to thank everyone who made the evening such a fun and memorable evening.”
The show at the Barnyard Theatre at Emperor’s Palace was The Hollywood Walk of Fame and was a tribute to the great music from movies such as Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Rocky Horror Picture Show and A Star is Born.
The guests included the doctors that ensure that babies are healthy, CEOs from various corporate companies, donors, volunteers and hard-working staff.
The event featured sponsored prizes from many companies in the south. A delicious Italian biscuit and chocolate hamper from the Italian Cheese Shop and a meal voucher from El Camino and Just Darling.
Basil Carter donated two prizes – a three-night stay in Hibberdeen, KwaZulu-Natal and a three-night stay in the Drakensberg.
The women’s perfume hamper was sponsored by Cassie Matthew.
