The Henley Wine Arts and Music Festival is here

It is one weekend annually filled with great wine, quality music, and beautiful art.

Make your way to Henley on Klip for the weekend of August 26 and 27 and make sure you are part of the Henley Wine Art and Music (WAM) Festival.

This is one not to be missed.

WAM was born when two resident couples in Henley on Klip with very common interests, but very different specialising fields, had a dream to start an annual event in their beloved village.

An event that could serve several purposes. It would increase tourism within the village, it would be a financial injection into the local economy, it could serve as a fundraiser for local charities, and also bring art, culture, wine and local musical talent to the residents.

And WAM the festival was born.

It is one weekend annually filled with great wine, quality music, and beautiful art.

Arrangements began immediately with members of the Henley Rotary Club and the Henley Lions joining the committee. The Midvaal municipality agreed to sponsor the event and the dream slowly started to become reality.

This year, the Henley WAM festival tickets sell for R170 and you enjoy access to all venues all weekend long, plus a complimentary wine glass.

Wine tasting will start on August 26 at 11:00 and will end at 17:00. On Sunday wine tasting will continue at 11:00 and end at 15:00.

In accordance with the original idea of the organisers, the festivities will not be limited to one single location. The various wine farms and exhibiting artists will be hosted at different venues across Henley-on-Klip.

Festival-goers will receive their branded wine glass and booklet upon presentation of the wine-tasting ticket which can be purchased online from Quicket.
