State of waste removal in Alberton

The waste department hopes for more trucks to be available in the area, said Maifala-Masebe.

To address the waste collection backlog in Alberton, Ward 38 Clr Thavha Malcolm Maifala-Masebe has shared a summary of the state of waste removal.

Here is a summary of the state of waste removal: 

  • Three trucks are available to service the entire Alberton
  • The depot is currently two days behind on waste collection
  • The remainder of Brackendowns expected to be collected
  • Possibility of Mayberry Park being collected today (January 12)
