Figures Alberton models shine at Project AIM Convention Cruise aboard MSC Opera
Five Figures Alberton models returned from the Project AIM Convention Cruise with international agent callbacks, prestigious awards and unforgettable memories, including Amy Kruger’s crowning as Project AIM Pre-Teen Model of the Year 2026.
Figures Alberton proudly celebrated an unforgettable journey aboard the MSC Opera during the Project AIM Convention Cruise, which departed from Durban Harbour.
The prestigious convention offered aspiring young models and performers a unique opportunity to gain industry exposure, develop their talents, network with professionals, and enjoy an exciting experience at sea.
Representing Alberton were Jenevieve Harley, Skyler Beukes, Tshepiso Sekoto, Chanelle Smit and Amy Kruger, who embraced every aspect of the adventure.
From participating in workshops and competitions to meeting international agents and forming new friendships, the experience proved both rewarding and inspiring.
One of the convention’s highlights was the opportunity to engage with respected agencies from around the world.
International agencies in attendance included Wilhelmina Models London, KAD Model Management India, Flash Models Turkey and several other leading industry professionals.
According to Melanie van den Heever of Figures Alberton, the exposure gave participants valuable insight into the international modelling industry while providing a platform to showcase their abilities.
The Alberton team achieved remarkable success, with every participant receiving agent callbacks, opening doors to potential future opportunities within the industry.
A standout achievement came when Amy Kruger was crowned Project AIM Pre-Teen Model of the Year 2026 after being announced as the overall winner in the M4 Division for girls aged 13 to 15.
The prestigious title was awarded aboard the MSC Opera and marked a proud moment for Kruger and the entire Figures Alberton family.
Skyler Beukes also earned impressive accolades during the convention. She was named second runner-up in both the Jeans Division and TV Commercial/TV Beauty categories, secured first place in Fashion Print and Runway, and received four callbacks from international agents.
Beaukes further showed her dedication by achieving an outstanding 90% average during the first school term, placing her at the top of her Grade Seven class.
While the convention offered numerous professional opportunities, the participants also enjoyed time together aboard the ship, creating lasting memories and strengthening friendships as they took in the ocean views and unique experiences.
Van den Heever said she was immensely proud of the team and everything they accomplished during the convention.
“The girls represented Alberton with confidence, professionalism and pride. Watching them step out of their comfort zones, grow in confidence and embrace every opportunity was incredibly rewarding.
“Their achievements are a reflection of their hard work, dedication and willingness to pursue their dreams. We are exceptionally proud of every one of them,” said Van den Heever.
She added that the experience was about far more than awards and titles.
“They returned home with valuable industry knowledge, international exposure, new friendships and memories that will stay with them for years to come. These experiences help shape them not only as models but as young women with confidence and ambition.”
Figures Alberton congratulated Harley, Beukes, Sekoto, Smit and Kruger on their outstanding achievements and for representing Alberton with excellence on an international stage.
