Just being able to perform with other major SA artists
BM: Have you been to Durban before?
I was there once for a performance and another time for a photoshoot, so I haven’t really had the chance to see it properly.
I’ve heard so much about Durban and how amazing the people, the food and the culture is. Really looking forward to just spending some time there.
BM: What was the movie you most enjoyed this year?
I enjoyed Side Effects – it was just so unexpectedly good. I love thrillers and mind-gripping films.
BM: What is the album you currently can’t get enough of – and why?
MiCasa SuCasa – it’s just a so well put together. It’s the soundtrack whenever I’m driving. #SummerVibe
BM: What is your favourite meal and worst?
Favourite – Breakfast. Worst – not a fan of stews

The odd jog now and then, pretending to go to gym.
BM: The three best things that make South Africa great?
Culture, people, history

Ending phrases with “Omego”

I had four parties, all different with different people. The last one was in a hotel with family, friends and a mentalist.
BM: Do you come from a musical background?
To some extent, definitely not from my parents, but I grew up in the church so my childhood was full of music.
BM: Your inspiration musically?
Jamie Cullum, Jay Z, Beyonce, Coldplay
BM: What’s the funniest thing that ever happened to you in a live performance?
Somebody touched by crotch whilst I was performing in a club. It was really funny actually, but it became even funnier when she tweeted about it later that night.

I love chocolate, social events, vacations. I hate elevators, snakes and boring lecturers
BM: Name three things on your bucket list?
Perform at the Grammy Awards, Graduate from University, Date Rihanna
BM: Tell us things about yourself that most people don’t know?
I’m in my final year of university and I secretly want to be a rapper
BM: What are the challenges that you face as a South African artist living his dream?
It’s tough because South African pop music is a random genre, not necessarily the most popular.
BM: What do you do when you’re not singing, song writing, performing or producing?
Studying for exams
BM: Are you surprised when people/fans tell you they did not know you were South African?
I hear that quite a bit. I think it’s a good thing because it shows everyone that we can compete on an international level.
BM: How psyched are you to come to Durban?
Super keen! Ready to sing for you Durbz!
