Baroque classics in concert

Suite 415 is a collaboration of well-known Durban classical musicians who are passionate about Baroque music.

FRIENDS of Music presents a Sunday afternoon of baroque masterpieces performed by Suite 415 on Sunday, 15 March at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban, at 3pm.

Suite 415 is a collaboration of well-known Durban classical musicians. Performing will be Evelien Ballantine-Traverso – baroque flute, Margrit Deppe – baroque oboe, Ralitza Macheva – violin, Aristide du Plessis – cello and David Smith – harpsichord.

Musicians play at pitch 415Hz on musical instruments which are historically correct for the 17th century. They are supported by a recently restored Zuckermann (Ruckers), Flemish harpsichord.

Tickets are R100 for members and R120 for visitors, and are available at the door.
