This son of What A Winter has raced only three times and has been disappointing. After his second run, however, he was gelded and given a break. He came back to racing late last month and needed his run.

The word from trainer Paul Peter is that his work is really good at home and in a particularly weak field – with Rachel Venniker also claiming her 1.5kg allowance – he believes the three-year-old is ready to shed his maiden.

RACE 8 QUARTET: DOUBLE FLOAT 3-THAMBI AND 6-SILVER STARDUST WITH THE FIELD

This is a very open race, and though the two floating bankers have the best form in the race, they are far from “good things”. Once you look past them, any horse can win.

The full cost of the bet is R504 but one can use a percentage from 1% upwards.
