The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (November 14 to 15):

Arrests:

• Possession of drugs: 2

House robbery:

• A Dalview resident was robbed in his Buxton Avenue home, last night (Tuesday).

The victim arrived home at around 6pm and was confronted by two balaclava-clad men in his yard.

Both were armed with guns.

They forced the victim inside the house, where they bound his hands and feet with cable ties, and demanded money.

The robbers ransacked the house and took jewellery, a digital video recorder and bank cards.

Armed robbery:

• A motorist was stabbed in the arm and robbed along Tweedy Road, in Brenthurst, just after midnight on Sunday.

The victim had stopped to relieve himself when he saw a man at the passenger side of his vehicle.

He ran back to his car and climbed in, but the man took out a knife and reached in through the open passenger side window and stabbed the victim in the arm.

The robber fled with cash and two cellphones.

Attempted burglary:

• An attempt was made to break into a house along Grant Street, in Brakpan North, yesterday.

Nothing was stolen, but sections of the property’s perimeter fence were removed.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A blue BMW 525 was stolen from Mall@Carnival last night.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• A car parked along Kingsway Avenue was broken into yesterday.

Clothes, tools, a wallet containing cash and cards, the vehicle’s battery and other valuables were taken.

Two suspects were later arrested.
